These pets are some of our longer term residents and deserve to have a family of their own. We invite you to visit them at our Pet Adoption Center and talk to our staff to see if you are the right match. They have been spayed/neutered and are current on al vaccines. Payton 10 month old, male, Hound Mix I am a very smart and sweet boy looking for a special family. I am young and eager to learn just what it takes to make my people happy. I will not jump, chew or get in the way of relaxation time. I am a beautiful, mature lady who has the golden years of life left to share with a great family. For the past 12 years, I have been a very lucky girl. I was loved and cherished as a member of one family; my family. Recently, my family lost their home. In the wake of loosing almost everything, they made the very tough decision to place me up for adoption with the Norfolk SPCA. Since being at the Norfolk SPCA, I have been doing my best to cope with the loss of my famiy and the change in routine, but I am warming up to my new friends. I rest comfortably in my special "princess throne" (Soft, cozy bed), in the administrative offices. The staff felt like the adoption floor would just be too much for me to have to handle at this point in my life. My new friends here have all said they are impressed with how much spunk I have in me for being so mature. I do well around other dogs and I am learning each day that it is okay to love new people. I would love nothing more than to have my old family back, but I will use the love they gave me to find a new family to love and cherish just as they have done with me."
